Por medio de iniciativas e ideas encaminadas a reducir la siniestralidad vial en el entorno social, el Director de Autotransporte, Enrique González Fonseca; suman esfuerzos para acercar a la ciudadanía herramientas que ayuden a solventar y a minimizar accidentes que tienen que ver con la falta de conocimiento y responsabilidad que todos tenemos al ser conductores o peatones.
Nuestro país, ocupa el décimo lugar de fallecidos por accidentes de tránsito a nivel mundial; por ello y con la finalidad de que se conozcan algunas de las normas que se deben tener en cuenta al momento de circular por la vía pública, es que la dirección de Autotransporte apoyada de la fundación MAPFRE; se dieron a la tarea de impartir éste tipo de conferencias dirigidas a niños, jóvenes y adultos, porque todos, en algún momento del día, podemos ser peatones o pasajeros. Con las conferencias se busca enseñar a los más pequeños y recordar a los mayores las normas de tránsito, es decir lo que se debe hacer y evitar para desplazarnos con seguridad.
“Es importante la educación vial como herramienta para la seguridad de peatones, pasajeros y conductores; y para lograr reducir la cantidad de accidentes, que en la mayoría de los casos acarrean víctimas fatales. En relación a los peatones, la mayoría tienen un alto nivel de falta de respeto a las normas; como cruzar la calle con el semáforo peatonal en rojo, caminar por la calzada o cruzar por otros lugares que no sean la senda peatonal,” refirió Ana Balderas Trejo.
“Según encuestas y datos estadísticos la mayoría de los accidentes son ocasionados por descuidos e imprudencias tanto de conductores como de peatones; con conferencias como ésta minimizamos accidentes; porque concientizamos de la situación a los jóvenes que son los más propensos a sufrirlos”. Enrique González Fonseca.
En la conferencia realizada en el Teatro Zaragoza; se les otorgó un reconocimiento por parte de la alcaldesa; a la Lic. Dolores Bonilla, representante de la Fundación MAPFRE y a Oscar Velázquez Pérez, Coordinador Estatal de la Prevención de Accidentes de la Cruz Roja Mexicana; por su gran labor de informar, formar y capacitar a la ciudadanía sobre la educación vial.
