Como parte de la estrategia de seguridad para abatir la delincuencia en el Estado de México, autoridades estatales y federales llevaron a cabo un operativo simultáneo en los municipios de Atizapán de Zaragoza y Nicolás Romero, que dejó como saldo 49 detenidos y la localización
de ocho personas reportadas como desaparecidas, así como aseguramiento de diversos artículos y droga.
Durante la movilización, que comenzó a las 3:00 horas del jueves 16 de mayo y culminaron a las 2:00 horas este viernes, participaron mil 330 elementos de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA), Policía Federal (PF), Secretaría de Seguridad del Estado de México (SS) y de la Fiscalía General de Justicia mexiquense (FGJEM).
En este lapso se efectuaron 148 acciones operativas, 82 en Atizapán de Zaragoza y 66 en Nicolás Romero y fueron atendidas 52 colonias, lo que permitió cumplimentar 19 órdenes de aprehensión por delitos de alto impacto como homicidio calificado, violación, robo con violencia, robo de vehículo y abuso sexual agravado.
El resto de las detenciones están relacionadas con delitos flagrantes entre los que destacan robo equiparado, encubrimiento por receptación, portación de arma prohibida, delitos contra la salud y delitos en materia de hidrocarburos y resistencia.
Entre los artículos asegurados se encuentra 360 dosis de marihuana, 25 dosis de cocaína, 14 dosis de droga conocida como cristal, cinco armas prohibidas, nueve vehículos, dos de ellos con reporte de robo, dos inmuebles, 250 litros de diésel y diversa mercancía como motores de vehículos y prendas de vestir.
