Para minimizar el riesgo de inundaciones y como respuesta a una demanda ciudadana de más de 30 años, el gobierno de Atizapán de Zaragoza y el SAPASA llevan a cabo el entubamiento del Canal Jarillal, en la colonia Lomas de San Miguel Norte.
En días pasados, la Presidente Municipal Ruth Olvera Nieto dio el banderazo de inicio a los trabajos y destacó que la obra permitirá mejorar las condiciones sanitarias de la comunidad, beneficiando a casi 7 mil habitantes.
En este sentido, el director del organismo de agua SAPASA, Alexander Estrada Rosales, detalló que el encajonamiento se realiza con tubería de polietileno, creando las condiciones para agilizar la salida de las aguas pluviales del área de influencia.
Explicó que en los canales sin revestimiento, tanto los taludes como el fondo tienden a cubrirse de vegetación –pasto, hierbas, bermas, arbustos y hasta árboles-, disminuyendo la velocidad del agua, con lo que se reduce el caudal y, simultáneamente, se origina el depósito de sedimentos que tienden a disminuir la selección efectiva del arroyo.
“Al dar saneamiento al cauce natural, atendemos las demandas de la población respecto a la insalubridad, malos olores y proliferación de insectos y mosquitos, e inundaciones”.
Respecto a las características técnicas de la obra, Alexander Estrada señaló que consiste en la construcción de un colector combinado con un diámetro de 1.05, 1.20, 1.52 y una longitud de 241 y 67.00 ml; un colector marginal de 030 con una longitud de 278 ml.
Además de ocho cajas con caída, caja de reflexión de concreto armado y muros de contención, colector de 0.45 en calle Gardenia, logrando la ampliación y mejoramiento de la cobertura en la recolección, conducción y disposición final de las aguas servidas.
