Un total de 20 trabajadores de la salud, entre ellos 14 médicos, cinco enfermeras y un técnico laboratorista del Hospital Salvador González Herrejón, resultaron positivos por Covid-19, y un enfermero falleció esta semana, informó el director del nosocomio, Joel Sabas Rodríguez, quien dijo que el contagio pudo llegar del Hospital General de Zona número 72 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS).
Sabas Rodríguez planteó que, probablemente el contagio tendría en médicos que laboran en el Hospital 72 del IMSS, del municipio de Tlalnepantla, donde se reportó un brote de Covid-19, y que también cubren plazas en el Hospital Salvador González Herrejón, en un hecho que “no teníamos esperado y que no podíamos medir”, planteó.
El doctor Sabas Rodríguez explicó que el caso positivo de Covid-19 del enfermero –Heriberto Arenas-, quien falleció el martes de esta semana, puso en alerta autoridades de salud y ello determinó aplicar 50 estudios de laboratorio a igual número de trabajadores del nosocomio a su cargo, de los cuales 20 resultaron positivos en Covid-19.
Indicó que inmediato 19 de los infectados fueron remitidos a aislamiento domiciliario bajo supervisión médica, por 14 días. En tanto, un enfermero de 37 años de edad, el único hospitalizado, esta reportado como grave, se encuentra intubado, es diabético y se ha negado a ser trasladado a otro hospital de especialidades.
El doctor Sabas detalló que el martes de esta semana falleció un enfermero (Heriberto Arenas), quien no tuvo contacto con enfermos de Covid-19, pero resultó positivo de dicha enfermedad al comenzar con síntomas el 6 de abril; tenía 37 años de edad, diabético, hipertenso y enfermo renal crónico.
-El contagio llego del hospital del IMSS numero 72-
Sabas Rodríguez planteó que, una hipótesis apunta que el contagio pudo llegar a través de personal médico que labora en el Hospital General de Zona número 72 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), del municipio de Tlalnepantla, donde a inicios de abril se reportó un contagio de Covid-19, por dobles jornadas de labor entre hospitales.
Explicó, que “nosotros compartimos algunos médicos con el Hospital General de Zona 72; entonces, por ejemplo, tenía yo a un médico internista que trabaja acá por la mañana y por la tarde en medicina Interna (en el IMSS) y él resultó positivo”, narró el director.
Agregó, “aquí tengo a otros médicos que en el Seguro Social dieron positivo y que en el momento que tuvieron contacto con algunas otras personas, sin cubre bocas, pudieron haber contagiado a otras personas”.
El director insistió que médicos y enfermeras cuentan con caretas, guantes, googles, cubre-bocas N-95, botas quirúrgicas, gorros redondos ajustables, jabón, gel antibacterial, por lo que “está garantizado el equipo de protección para el personal de atención directa a pacientes de Covid-19”.
El doctor Sabas insistió en la probabilidad de que el contagio fue entre personal y no por contactos con pacientes de Civid-19, pues comentó que dos de sus médicos se contagiaron hospital privado y “un técnico laboratorista que trabaja en el(hospital) ABC tomando pruebas, se contagió allá”.
Por otra parte, al momento en el Hospital Salvador González Herrejón, se tienen internados a 7 pacientes de Covid-19, dos de ellos graves y 5 estables.
