Durante la transmisión del segundo capítulo titulado “El vecino perfecto”, de la serie documental llamada “Caníbal, indignación total”. Vecinos de Andrés Filomeno Mendoza fueron entrevistados, entre ellos madre e hijo, inquilinos del feminicida y una tendera de la calle Margaritas, ubicada en Lomas de San Miguel, en el municipio de Atizapán, en donde se encontraba su casa.
Así fue como se dio a conocer que Andrés Filomeno siempre tenía un olor desagradable, desde un exceso a perfume, olor a descomposición hasta “parecía que se había orinado”, así lo relatan sus vecinas que se lo encontraban y pensaban que era porque estaba alcoholizado, además al ser un adulto mayor solo “que no tenía quien le lavara”.
“Las personas de la colonia de San Miguel lo conocían como ‘El Chino’, siempre era muy atento, más que bueno, principalmente con las mujeres”, expresó un joven inquilino de Andrés, además contó que Filomeno “Le mostró videos porno a mi mamá, le dijo que grababa a sus novias”.
De igual modo la tendera de la calle Margaritas aseguró que ella casi no le hablaba “porque era un señor muy morboso”, pero que el día que detuvieron al feminicida serial, él acudió a comprar una bolsa de sal aunque era una cosa inusual.
Los policías involucrados en el caso aseguran que hubo resistencia por parte de los habitantes a cooperar en el caso porque defendían al “Chino”, como era conocido en la colonia, pues constantemente proporcionaba “apoyo” a sus conocidos. Hasta que los vecinos se dieron cuenta de quién era y a lo que se dedicaba.
“Siempre era muy atento, se manejaba con perfil para distraer su actuar”, cuenta Fernando Flores, policía de Atizapán. Aseguró también que por culpa de Filomeno fue regañado varias veces pues el feminicida constantemente pedía más seguridad y pedía que hubiera mayor presencia policial en la zona.
Andrés Filomeno Mendoza, también conocido como el “Caníbal de Atizapán”, sorprendió a sus vecinos quien lo consideraban, callado, atento y servicial, un hombre devoto a la Virgen de Guadalupe.

De acuerdo con el ministro Presidente de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, Arturo Zaldívar, el proyecto fue realizado por la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) con el que intenta concientizar acerca de los feminicidios en México.
La serie documental es dirigida por Grau Serra, creada por Camila Producciones, Plétora Productions en conjunto con la SCJN.
