La nueva planta potabilizadora permitirá aliviar la presión por escasez del líquido en la zona metropolitana
El presidente municipal de Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, urgió a los tres niveles de gobierno a estrechar la coordinación para sanear la presa Madín, donde desde noviembre del año pasado comenzó a construirse la Planta Potabilizadora Madín II, como una alternativa para tener más agua en el Valle de México, lo que permitirá aliviar la escasez del recurso natural.
En entrevista con este medio de información, luego de participar en la puesta en marcha de comedores comunitarios del municipio, el alcalde resaltó la necesidad de sumar esfuerzos entre distintas autoridades para el rescate de este importante cuerpo de agua del Valle de México.
Recordó que a principios de 2022 su gobierno llevó a cabo trabajos de remoción de lirio acuático de la presa Madín, acciones que a decir del edil fueron las primeras de un proyecto integral que tiene su administración para sanear el sitio.
Consideró que “es demasiado el trabajo que se debe hacer (en torno a la presa), pero en coordinación con los municipios vecinos y los tres órdenes de gobierno podremos rehabilitar de forma integral”, apuntó el edil.
La nueva planta potabilizadora permitirá aliviar la presión por escasez del líquido en la zona metropolitana, pues las autoridades pretenden con esta nueva infraestructura generar mayor eficiencia y aprovechar el excedente producido durante la temporada de lluvias.
El presidente municipal subrayó que, en la actual época de precipitaciones pluviales, las instalaciones de la planta potabilizadora contribuirán a mejorar la calidad del agua en la presa Madín.
Con esta tecnología se espera otorgar a la Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México 500 litros de agua por segundo durante la temporada de lluvias, que se calcula, sean 7 meses al año.
La Potabilizadora Madín II contará con tecnología moderna que permitirá una mayor eficiencia en las tareas de remoción de algas y materia orgánica disuelta; no obstante, la actual planta recibirá mantenimiento para que continúe en operación.
