El Atlas Municipal de Riesgos de Atizapán de Zaragoza, que obtuvo el primer lugar de los atlas municipales por parte del Gobierno del Estado de México por su detalle de las zonas de riesgo en el territorio municipal, fue actualizado y presentado en la Cuarta Sesión Ordinaria del Consejo Municipal de Protección Civil, celebrada en la Sala de Cabildo.
En esa reunión, Héctor Elorriaga Mejía, titular de Protección Civil, Bomberos y Medio Ambiente municipal, destacó la coordinación que se tuvo para la conformación de este documento, realizado con recursos propios.
“La importancia del Atlas Municipal de Riesgos fue la coordinación que se tiene a nivel institucional en todas las áreas de Gobierno de esta Administración del Licenciado Pedro Rodríguez Villegas. Tuvimos la participación de SAPASA, de Seguridad Pública, de Tesorería, de Ordenamiento Territorial y Desarrollo Urbano; siempre usamos esa transversalidad que se da en el aspecto de la protección civil”, detalló el comandante.
De acuerdo con Javier Torres Correa, Jefe de Departamento de Atlas y Gestión Integral de Riesgos, el Atlas 2023 tiene una mayor precisión en la georreferenciación de las amenazas en el territorio municipal, lo que lo hace distinto a la versión anterior.
“Nos permite analizar la vulnerabilidad física y social en todas sus dimensiones. El resultado que tuvimos el año pasado es un mapa, hoy podemos procesar mayor información. Todo este proceso nos permite implementar un mayor nivel de precisión en áreas de riesgo. Los programas de prevención de inundaciones fueron más puntuales”, comentó.
Fue en los primeros días de septiembre de este año que la Coordinación de Protección Civil municipal terminó los trabajos junto con su homóloga estatal, y el 21 de septiembre recibió el oficio de aprobación.
De los 582 Atlas en todo el país, solamente 14 tienen la última actualización, entre ellos el de Atizapán de Zaragoza, el cual ya está aprobado por el Centro Nacional de Prevención de Desastres.
Mariano Saucedo, representante de Coparmex Metropolitano del Estado de México y presidente del sector de la industria química y paraquímica de la Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Transformación (Canacintra), destacó la importancia de las labores en materia de protección civil, ya que para los empresarios es de impacto jurídico en las inversiones, ya que las inversiones dependen del riesgo que encuentran o no en los municipios.
Por su parte, Sergio Hernández Olvera, Secretario Ejecutivo del Consejo Municipal de Protección Civil y Secretario del Ayuntamiento, en representación del Presidente Municipal, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, agradeció la participación activa y eficiente de los integrantes del Consejo municipal de protección civil en la actualización del Atlas de Riesgo 2023.
