¿Qué implicaciones tiene trabajar sin cédula profesional?
En México, la cédula profesional acredita que una persona cuenta con los conocimientos y la preparación necesarios para ejercer una profesión.
Aunque no existe una multa por trabajar sin este documento, su ausencia puede limitar la posibilidad de empleo, especialmente en profesiones como medicina, derecho, ingeniería y arquitectura, que están reguladas por el Estado.
Así como para laborar en el extranjero, donde es requisito para validar estudios y experiencia.
De acuerdo con la Ley Reglamentaria del Artículo 5º Constitucional sobre el ejercicio de las profesiones, cada entidad federativa determina qué licenciaturas requieren título para su práctica.
Cómo verificar una cédula profesional
La Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) ofrece el Registro Nacional de Profesionistas, una plataforma en línea donde cualquier persona puede consultar el estatus de una cédula profesional.
Para realizar la búsqueda se necesita:
Nombre completo del profesionista.
Opcionalmente, datos adicionales como el área de especialidad.
El sistema proporciona información sobre la cédula registrada, incluyendo el número, la profesión, el año de expedición, la institución de formación y el tipo de documento.
Dicha herramienta es especialmente útil para identificar irregularidades, como documentos inexistentes o información que no coincide con los registros oficiales.
