Miriam Silva Mata, diputada local del Partido Verde, denunció la perforación y operación de pozos de agua sin permisos en la Quinta Zona del municipio de Ecatepec desde 2021.
La legisladora, quien encabeza la Comisión de Recursos Hidráulicos en el Congreso del Estado de México, afirmó que estas irregularidades generaron el suministro de agua contaminada a la población.
La diputada señaló que el Municipio y su organismo SAPASE incumplieron sentencias del Poder Judicial Federal que los obligan a garantizar la calidad del agua, de acuerdo con la Ley de Aguas Nacionales.
En dicho contexto, el Juez Primero de Distrito determinó que los funcionarios municipales han sido omisos en presentar un proyecto para restablecer el servicio, lo que ha derivado en un proceso de inejecución de sentencia.
Silva Mata acusó a presuntos servidores públicos de Ecatepec de llevar a cabo una campaña de calumnias, mentiras y desprestigio en su contra, lo que la obligó a interponer una denuncia ante la Fiscalía General del Estado de México, que le otorgó medidas de protección.
La legisladora aseveró que este hostigamiento es una respuesta a su exigencia de soluciones a la crisis del agua en el municipio.
La diputada resaltó que la falta de agua y la alta contaminación con fierro, manganeso, virus, bacterias y heces fecales provocaron enfermedades en niños y adultos. Subrayó que, en lugar de resolver el problema, el municipio ha optado por el hostigamiento.
Silva Mata concluyó que la lucha por el acceso al agua limpia es un derecho humano y que las campañas de desprestigio no la detendrán.
Resaltó que la lucha por el agua es justa, legítima y necesaria, y mientras haya una sola familia en este municipio sin agua limpia, continuaremos exigiendo con firmeza lo que nos corresponde por derecho.
