Los anfitriones de Airbnb en la Ciudad de México tendrán libertad para fijar las tarifas de renta de sus inmuebles durante el Mundial de Futbol 2026. Aunque todavía no registran reservas para las fechas del evento, explicaron que la plataforma abre agendas de manera semestral, por lo que actualmente sólo pueden visualizar ocupaciones hasta febrero del próximo año.
“No hay imposición de ningún tipo. Se siguen las famosas reglas de mercado. Cada anfitrión pone su propia tarifa correspondiente a lo que ellos creen que su alojamiento vale”, señalaron voceros de la comunidad de arrendadores.
Mencionaron no contar aún con capacitaciones específicas para promocionar sus viviendas de cara al torneo, ni claridad sobre eventuales restricciones que pudiera establecer el gobierno capitalino respecto al padrón de anfitriones, pendiente desde octubre pasado.
En el marco de los foros ciudadanos sobre gentrificación y la discusión de regulaciones, anfitriones de la plataforma presentaron cinco propuestas a las autoridades:
- Plantearon fortalecer la economía barrial mediante un directorio de negocios locales.
- Promover la convivencia vecinal y la preservación comunitaria.
- Reforzar la coordinación entre anfitriones, autoridades y plataformas.
- Participar en proyectos de mejora urbana.
- Exentar del límite del 50 por ciento de noches de renta a los propietarios que cuentan con una a cinco propiedades.
De acuerdo con cifras de los propios arrendadores, la Ciudad de México registra 12 mil anfitriones: 77 por ciento ofrece una sola vivienda, 12 por ciento dos y cinco por ciento tres propiedades.
No obstante, en la plataforma aparecen 26 mil 67 domicilios para renta temporal, de los cuales 17 mil 173 son viviendas completas. Dentro de ese grupo, ocho mil 949 están inactivos porque los dueños bloquean fechas, operan de manera intermitente o abandonaron el sistema sin dar de baja sus registros.
La alcaldía Cuauhtémoc concentra la mayor cantidad de inmuebles inactivos con ocho mil 96, seguida de Miguel Hidalgo con mil 532, Benito Juárez con 797 y Coyoacán con 394.
