Nuevamente el río Las Peñitas se desbordó afectando con aguas negras a cientos de familias de Mayorazgos Gigantes y San Miguel Xochimanga, en Atizapán de Zaragoza.
Tras la fuerte tormenta que azotó por la tarde, alrededor de las 18 horas, el cauce no pudo contener el agua y salió por una vivienda, colapsando la barda de la misma y haciendo un boquete de alrededor de 10 metros de largo y tres de altura, expulsando con fuerza todo lo que se encontraba al interior de la vivienda ubicada en la calle Oro número 137 A. Los muebles flotaban por las calles del fraccionameinto.
Una persona del servicio doméstico se encontraba en la parte baja de la vivienda en el momento que el río vence el talud y penetra a la casa, lográndose detener de la reja del domicilio para que la fuerza del agua no la arrastrara, sin embargo, no pudo evitar tragar aguas negras del río, afectando sus pulmones, por lo cual la trasladaron a un nosocomio.
Cabe mencionar que la mujer fue rescatada por elementos de seguridad pública al mando del comandante Guadalupe Sánchez, jefe del sector 3 Arboledas, quienes también ponen a salvo a un bebé que permanecía en la parte de arriba de esa vivienda junto a otros dos adultos, que están en shock.
Guadalupe Ibáñez, presidenta de colonos de Mayorazgos Gigantes, informó que son alrededor de 200 familias las afectadas por el desbordamiento del río, causando inundaciones de hasta 1.5 metros de altura en las calles de Picaflor, Guacamaya, Palomas, Paseo Gigantes y Halcones.
Hay pérdidas totales de vehículos. Las aguas negras invadieron salas, comedores y baños. Los habitantes recordaron que hace cuatro años sucedió lo mismo. En aquél entonces fue construido un muro de metal y restablecido el talud del río Las Peñitas.
Hoy con un tubo de dos metros de diámetro, personal del organismo municipal operador de agua Sapasa y de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua), trata de reconducir las aguas del cauce.
En la zona laboran alrededor de 20 personas de Sapasa, y 32 oficiales de seguridad pública.
El director de Gobierno, Jesús Mendoza, informó a la representante de colonos de Mayorazgos Gigantes que el río no pudo desfogar el agua debido a los “taponamientos” que existen por la construcción del Túnel Emisor Poniente 2.
