Del 13 de marzo al 21 de abril el gobierno de Atizapán de Zaragoza que preside la alcaldesa Ana María Balderas Trejo, llevará a cabo la campaña gratuita de mastografía y papanicolaou a fin de brindar un servicio integral en la prevención y detección oportuna del cáncer en las mujeres atizapenses.
En su mensaje, Balderas Trejo expresó que el Instituto de la Mujer y el Sistema Municipal DIF trabajan de manera coordinada con el Centro Oncológico Internacional para ofrecer atención médica y diagnosticar, tratar y rehabilitar a las mujeres que sufren este problema en la entidad, ya que de acuerdo con la Organización Mundial de la Salud, cada 30 segundos se diagnostica a una mujer con este padecimiento.
“Mi administración está comprometida en proteger y salvaguardar a las mujeres en todo momento. Estamos cumpliendo nuestro objetivo social de brindar atención adecuada en materia de salud. Esta campaña es totalmente gratuita y servirá para acercarles estos servicios que suelen ser inaccesibles en muchos casos debido a sus altos costos”.
Por su parte, Felipa Anaya Cortés, directora del Instituto de la Mujer, destacó la importancia de esta campaña, pues reconoció que el año pasado el gobierno municipal realizó 2084 mastografías de las cuales 22 mujeres fueron canalizadas para su atención al Centro Oncológico Internacional.
“De las 22 mujeres canalizadas 5 presentaron problemas severos y 3 ya fueron operadas. Queremos reducir los porcentajes de este padecimiento, por eso nuestras campañas de prevención son puntuales al mencionar como realizar la detección temprana, la cual se basa en la triada preventiva: que es autoexploración mamaria mensual, la exploración clínica anual y la mastografía anual”, puntualizó la funcionaria pública.
