La Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) aseguró en la Ciudad de México un taller para la elaboración de billetes apócrifos y detuvo a cuatro probables integrantes de una célula delictiva dedicada a la falsificación, reproducción y almacenamiento de papel moneda.
Personal de la Agencia de Investigación Criminal (AIC) ubicó en la delegación Iztapalapa diversos inmuebles, en los que posiblemente se llevaba a cabo la falsificación de billetes de denominaciones de 100, 200, 500 y mil pesos.
Con una orden de cateo, personal de la AIC ingresó a un domicilio donde fue localizado un taller para la elaboración del papel moneda ilegítimo.
En este lugar, sin violencia ni uso de fuerza, fueron detenidos Noel “G”, Leonardo Alberto “P”, José Alberto “G” y Arón Andrei “C”.
El saldo asegurado
Fueron confiscados aproximadamente cinco mil hojas impresas con imágenes de billetes de 500 pesos, armas de fuego, cartuchos útiles y dosis de una sustancia con las características propias del cristal, así como hierba seca, posiblemente marihuana.
Falsificaban en mayor cantidad el billete de 500 pesos.
Catearon cuatro departamentos Unidad Habitacional Bellavista.
Billetes falsos circulaban principalmente en CDMX y Edomex.
Lo asegurado fue puesto a disposición del ministerio Público.

Datos sobre este golpe a la falsificación:
Fueron cateados cuatro departamentos localizados en la Unidad Habitacional Bellavista, colonia Casa Blanca, en dicha delegación.
Se estima que esta organización criminal es responsable de la producción y distribución del 30% de las piezas ilegítimas captadas por el Banco de México.
Circulaban principalmente en la Ciudad de México y el Estado de México.
Falsificaban en mayor cantidad el billete de 500 pesos.
