Un incendio consumió esta madrugada toneladas de plásticos y madera en una bodega de materiales de reciclaje en la colonia Ejidos de San Miguel Chalma, informaron autoridades municipales.
Policías y bomberos de Atizapán de Zaragoza llegaron a la calle Jamaica y Avenida México, luego de que vecinos alertaron sobre el incendio en los primeros minutos de este lunes 24 de agosto.
Las llamas fueron visibles en varios kilómetros a la redonda, en tanto que la zona fue acordonada por personal de Protección Civil y policías, sin que oficialmente se registraran víctimas.
Personal del Sistema de Agua Potable, Alcantarillado y Saneamiento de Atizapán ( Sapasa) , llegó con pipas de agua, para extinguir el fuego del incendio, donde también llegó el apoyo de bomberos de otros municipios como Huixquilucan.
El fuego quedó controlado antes del amanecer en San Miguel Chalma, en donde cuadrillas de bomberos removieron escombros para asegurar que no se reavivara el incendio.
La presidenta municipal Ruth Olvera Nieto confirmó que el incendio quedó sofocado y esta mañana agradeció el trabajo de bomberos apoyo de la CAEM -Comisión de Agua del Estado de México- y de los alcaldes de Cuautitlán Izcalli y de Huixquilucan, Ricardo Núñez y Enrique Vargas, quienes apoyaron con equipo de vulcanos.
