En el marco de las festividades del mes de mayo, elementos de la Dirección de Seguridad Pública y Tránsito que encabeza el Comisario Eduardo González Castillo, proporcionaron seguridad y vigilancia a los miles de asistentes a la verbena y baile popular organizado por los miembros del COPACI de la Cabecera Municipal, donde las familias pudieron disfrutar de la música en vivo de grupos como La Sonora Dinamita y La Santanera entre otros.
Durante el evento, la Presidenta Municipal Ana María Balderas Trejo, acompañada de la Reina y las princesas de las fiestas de mayo, reconoció el ambiente festivo y la perfecta organización con la que los atizapenses celebraron un aniversario más de la Heroica Batalla de Puebla, convirtiéndose en ejemplo de la paz, seguridad y tranquilidad que prevalece en este municipio.
