La Fiscalía General de la República (FGR), en coordinación con la Fiscalía General del Estado de México, obtuvo sentencia condenatoria en contra de Jorge López Albor alias El Greñas, El Sobrino o El Mechitas, por los delitos de delincuencia organizada en la hipótesis de secuestro y privación ilegal de la libertad en la modalidad de secuestro en agravio de tres víctimas.
Luego de una serie de procedimientos, el Ministerio Público de la Federación (MPF), presentó las pruebas para que el juzgado octavo de distrito en el estado de México, con residencia en Naucalpan de Juárez, le impusiera una pena de 79 años de prisión.
De acuerdo con la Investigaciones, en agosto de 2011, se le cumplimentó orden de aprehensión en la alcaldía Venustiano Carranza de la Ciudad de México. Se le atribuye pertenecer a una organización criminal denominada Los Homeros, dedicada al secuestro, principalmente en Tlalnepantla, estado de México, y en la capital del país.
