“Ya no hay marcha atrás” para devolver a los municipios del Estado de México la expedición de licencias de conductor, aseveró el secretario de Movilidad Isidro Pastor, al informar que Tlalnepantla, Villa Nicolás Romero, Atizapán de Zaragoza y Huixquilucan, ya fueron notificados al respecto. “Pueden tocar la instancia celestial”, pero no se les restituirá ese servicio, aseveró.
Aseguró que legalmente está sustentado el retiro de expedición de licencias y los municipios que así lo consideren “tienen chance de irse hasta la Comisión Interamericana de los Derechos Humanos”.
Por norma la expedición de licencias le corresponde al gobierno estatal. Anteriormente el convenio anual celebrado con municipios les permitía otorgar ese permiso para obtener beneficios económicos. Sin embargo, dijo, se detectó falsificación de documentos y otras irregularidades.

El Estado de México no puede exponerse a que el personal de otro nivel de gobierno al que no puede sancionar, siga expidiendo esas licencias, señaló. “Lamentablemente ya no hay manera de dar marcha atrás. Ya no habrá convenios con los municipios”. Ahora, todos los módulos de licencias dependen del estado.
Diariamente se emiten 3 mil 536 licencias de conductor en los 38 módulos que opera el gobierno estatal, dijo Isidro Pastor. Y comentó que al 16 de enero se ha entregado al Servicio Postal Mexicano (Sepomex) 16,786 notificaciones para la entrega de licencias tras la cobertura del pago correspondiente.
