A tan sólo un día de haber regresado a clases, se reportó un brote de intoxicación alimentaria en el Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Hidalgo (CECyTEH), plantel Mineral del Chico, en Benito Juárez.
Cinco estudiantes resultaron afectados tras consumir un pambazo con chorizo, aparentemente en mal estado, adquirido en la cooperativa del plantel.
Los adolescentes presentaron síntomas como dolor abdominal intenso, náuseas y vómitos, que llevaron a su traslado para recibir atención médica.
El Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social para el Bienestar (IMSS-Bienestar) informó que los estudiantes fueron evaluados y tratados adecuadamente, con seguimiento para prevenir posibles complicaciones.
“Además se está trabajando en colaboración con las autoridades correspondientes para investigar el origen del brote”, indicó el Instituto.
¿Qué es la intoxicación alimentaria?
La intoxicación alimentaria ocurre cuando se ingieren alimentos contaminados con bacterias, virus, parásitos o toxinas.
Algunos síntomas típicos son: dolor abdominal, náuseas, vómitos, diarrea y fiebre. En casos graves, puede haber deshidratación o problemas más serios.
Si sospechas sufrir una intoxicación alimentaria, es importante buscar atención médica de inmediato, especialmente si los síntomas son severos o persistentes. Mantente hidratado y evita alimentos sólidos hasta que los síntomas mejoren.
Además, informa a las autoridades sanitarias sobre el posible origen de la contaminación para evitar futuros brotes.
