A finales del 2019, un total de 13 municipios mexiquenses y alcaldías de la Ciudad de México, enfrentarán una disminución en el suministro del agua proveniente del Sistema Cutzamala, ante la escasez de lluvias en este año, respecto a otros periodos.
Las demarcaciones afectadas serán Atizapán de Zaragoza, Huixquilucan, Naucalpan, Nicolás Romero, Tlalnepantla, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Coacalco, Tultitlán, Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl, Tecámac, Toluca y Acolman.
La Secretaría de Obra Pública resaltó que no es la primera vez que se toma esta decisión y garantizó que la afectación será poco perceptible, aunque invitó a la población a racionalizar el uso del vital líquido.
Lo anterior se dio a conocer de manera coordinada entre el gobierno federal, el de la Ciudad de México y la entidad mexiquense.
