Un incendio en la zona federal del Bordo de Xochiaca, en Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México, movilizó a cuerpos de emergencia durante la tarde del martes 29 de abril, debido a la intensidad de las llamas y la columna de humo que afectó la visibilidad en el Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, a la altura de la caseta Neza-Bordo.
La situación quedó controlada horas después sin que se reportaran personas heridas ni víctimas mortales.
De acuerdo con el presidente municipal Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo, el siniestro se reportó a las 13:30 horas en la zona comprendida entre Nezahualcóyotl y Chimalhuacán, donde se desplegó personal de Protección Civil, bomberos y elementos de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua).
“En este momento se encuentra controlado el incendio, a pesar de las fuertes rachas de viento que se registran en el municipio”.
El fuego abarcó una superficie de aproximadamente cinco hectáreas y fue combatido por bomberos de ambos municipios con apoyo de Conagua, al tratarse de una zona bajo jurisdicción federal.
Alta temperatura y viento complicaron labores
Aunque las autoridades no confirmaron el origen del fuego, las condiciones climáticas del día, altas temperaturas y viento constante, habrían contribuido a la rápida expansión del siniestro.
De acuerdo con la Comisaría General de Seguridad Ciudadana de Nezahualcóyotl, el terreno donde ocurrió el incendio está bajo responsabilidad de Conagua, por lo que se coordinó el trabajo interinstitucional para su atención.
Mientras tanto, la Protectora de Bosques del Estado de México (Probosque) reportó que, además del incidente en Xochiaca, permanecían activos otros cuatro incendios forestales en:
- Ejido Concepción, Aculco
- Cerro de la Verónica, Lerma
- Chalmita, Ocuilan
- Las Pilitas, Nicolás Romero
También se logró el control del fuego en Las Trojes, Coatepec Harinas, y San Juan Atzingo, Ocuilan.
