#INGRIDSCHEMELENSKY, LEGISLADORA #ATIZAPENSE, FUE DISTINGUIDA CON EL PRESTIGIOSO GALARDÓN “EL CÁNCER EN LA AGENDA 2023”
Durante la entrega de galardones “El Cáncer en la Agenda 2023”, organizados por la Fundación Cáncer Warriors de México A.C., Ingrid Schemelensky, fue distinguida en reconocimiento a las acciones legislativas y al trabajo que ha liderado en la lucha contra el cáncer desde el Poder Legislativo del Estado de México.
El galardón fue entregado a legisladora de Atizapán de Zaragoza por su incansable lucha para fortalecer la prevención, detección y tratamiento del cáncer en el estado de México; destacando su impulso para que la Secretaria de Salud intensificara las acciones de prevención, diagnóstico oportuno y atención integral de cáncer de mama en todas sus etapas; así como mayores recursos para la implementación de políticas públicas de prevención, diagnóstico oportuno y atención integral de cáncer de mama en todas sus etapas y para programas de reconstrucción mamaria.
Además de lo anterior, se destacó la creación de la iniciativa legislativa local #UnDíaContraElCáncer para detección temprana del cáncer de mama, próstata y cervicouterino, aprobada por unanimidad en el Congreso del Estado de México, así como la reciente iniciativa presentada para otorgar de manera inmediata pensión de alimentos a las niñas o niños con cáncer en caso de abandono por parte de alguno de los padres.
La Fundación Cáncer Warriors de México, A.C., en voz de su Presidente Kenji López Cuevas, agradeció y reconoció el compromiso visionario de Ingrid Schemelensky en la lucha contra el cáncer. “Este galardón es un testimonio de la importancia de la colaboración entre el ámbito legislativo y las organizaciones de la sociedad civil para abordar desafíos cruciales de nuestra sociedad” mencionó el fundador de la Asociación.
Por su parte, Ingrid mencionó que “a pesar de los logros alcanzados, debemos ser conscientes de que la lucha contra el cáncer es constante. Este galardón no solo celebra lo que hemos logrado hasta ahora, sino que también nos recuerda la responsabilidad que llevamos sobre nuestros hombros. Debemos seguir avanzando, innovando y abogando por políticas y acciones que hagan una verdadera diferencia en la vida de quienes enfrentan el cáncer y sus seres queridos”.
