La Fiscalía General del Estado de Veracruz (FGEV) reportó la liberación de un menor de edad de nacionalidad hondureña, quien había sido secuestrado en el sur del estado.
El rescate del niño se logró este jueves, tras casi un mes de la separación forzada de su madre, quien recibió demandas de rescate.
El 27 de junio de 2024, en el municipio de Jesús Carranza, Veracruz, migrantes hondureños fueron sometidos a una revisión en un falso retén de migración.
Durante esta revisión, el menor fue separado de su madre y trasladado a la Ciudad de México, mientras que su madre recibió demandas de dinero para la liberación del infante.
La denuncia ante las autoridades llevó a una operación conjunta entre la Unidad Especializada en Combate al Secuestro (UECS) de Veracruz y las fuerzas de seguridad en Tabasco.
La operación culminó con la liberación del menor en Tenosique, Tabasco, y la detención de dos presuntos secuestradores, identificados como Azucena Yamileth “N” y Jesús Manuel “N”.
Ambos detenidos enfrentan cargos por secuestro agravado y fueron puestos a disposición de las autoridades.
En la audiencia inicial, 
se les dictó prisión preventiva por dos años mientras continúa el proceso penal.
