En Tocumbo, Michoacán fue localizado el cuerpo sin vida de Liseth del Refugio G., de 45 años, quien fue reportada como desaparecida el 25 de julio.
La desaparición de Liseth generó una movilización por parte de sus familiares y la comunidad, quienes bloquearon la carretera Los Reyes-Zamora el 26 de julio para exigir su localización.

En otro hecho violento reciente, el 20 de julio, un ataque armado en la colonia Santa Cecilia de Morelia resultó en cinco muertos y cinco heridos.
La Fiscalía de Michoacán reportó la detención de tres sospechosos relacionados con este ataque, identificados como Diego “N”, Juan Carlos “N” y Eduardo Gabriel “N”.
Desde una camioneta Chirey Tiggo, los detenidos dispararon contra un grupo de jóvenes en un negocio de bebidas alcohólicas, fueron capturados tras el aseguramiento del vehículo involucrado.
