MIAMI.- Los reggaetoneros puertorriqueños Alex y Fido consideraron “racista” el comentario del cantante mexicano Aleks Syntek por decir que “el reggaeton viene de los simios”.
Aleks Syntek caíste muy bajo con tu comentario tan elitista #racista”, escribieron en sus redes sociales los creadores de temas como ‘Rompe la Cintura’, ‘Energía’ y ‘Donde estés llegaré’.
Otro boricua, Justin Quiles, dijo al programa Al Rojo Vivo de Telemundo que “todos tenemos nuestros momentos de ignorancia”. “No me molesta que critiquen la música urbana, lo que sí me molesta es que critique el gusto del pueblo”, señaló el cantante.
Por su parte el rapero mexicano C-Kan, quien cuenta con más de 500 millones de vistas de sus videos y a quien siguen más de cinco millones de fans en sus redes, consideró el comentario una “falta de respeto” y dijo que en el género hay letras muy buenas.
C-Kan, de Guadalajara, quien ha escrito temas contra el racismo, señaló a la televisora estadunidense que no es una casualidad que cantantes como Shakira, Luis Fonsi y Enrique Iglesias hayan incursionado en estos ritmos con mezcla del reggaetón.
Syntek ha pedido disculpas en Twitter por sus comentarios, aunque reiteró que no le gusta el reggaetón.
Reconozco que me equivoqué en la forma de expresarme. Respeto a quien escuche o se dedique al reggaetón. En lo particular no es un género que me atraiga, pero reitero mi compromiso con la diversidad musical y el respeto al gusto de cada quien”, escribió el creador de temas como ‘Evolución’ y ‘Sexo, Pudor y Lagrimas’.
