Para cumplir con la Norma Emergente de Verificación Vehicular que estará vigente a partir del 1 de julio, el gobierno del Estado de México firmó un convenio con el gobierno del estado de California, para importar la tecnología de Estados Unidos para utilizarla en los verificentros del Estado de México, afirmó el secretario del Medio Ambiente, Raúl Vargas.
Agregó que se ha consolidado el sistema de verificación en los 99 centros que operan en la entidad, desde que llega el automóvil hasta que se les entrega su calcomanía, por ello se han clausurado 32 verificentros, de los cuales cuatro fueron asegurados por la PGJEM por presuntos actos de corrupción y en 20 más se dieron diversas sanciones; además desde el inicio de este gobierno se han suspendido 910 líneas de verificación
Raúl Vargas dio a conocer que el Centro “Mario Molina” reconoció el diseño, implementación y operación de un sistema centralizado de hologramas; la vigilancia en tiempo real en el centro de monitoreo remoto; accesos biométricos como medidas de seguridad; cambios de estaciones meteorológicas e instalación de cámaras de vigilancia en cada verificentro; establecimiento de inspecciones físicas y remotas; incremento en el número de líneas de verificación para mejorar el servicio a usuarios; mejora en seguridad de hologramas y control de asignación; e instalación de OBD2 en cada línea de verificación.
Además, se trabaja también en la obtención de un certificado ISO para colocarse como una de las mejores entidades en el país, en cuanto al control y supervisión de los verificentros. Respecto a la Norma Emergente de Verificación Vehicular, dijo que se busca modernizar con tecnología los verificentros y actualizar la ley para que las autoridades puedan vigilar en la calle a los vehículos que son ostensiblemente contaminantes; trae nuevos procedimientos y límites más estrictos tanto para vehículos a gasolina como los de diesel, así como elementos de control externo que complementan el trabajo de los verificentros.
