Desde el pasado mes de agosto de 2018 las Infracciones de Tránsito se han regularizado en todo el territorio de Atizapán de Zaragoza, por lo que las autoridades de la Policía Municipal invitan a los automovilistas a respetar el reglamento vigente a fin de no hacerse acreedores a algún tipo de sanción.
La aplicación de infracciones se realiza a través de oficiales mujeres de tránsito debidamente identificadas, las cuales han sido plenamente capacitadas y cuentan con terminales electrónicas para la emisión de las multas, mismas que podrán ser pagadas de forma inmediata en horas hábiles en el banco que se encuentra dentro de las instalaciones de las oficinas de la Dirección de Autotransporte del Ayuntamiento.
En el pago de las multas se podrá obtener un descuento hasta del 70% siempre y cuando se cubra el costo total en un plazo no mayor a 24 horas y hasta del 50% si se realiza el pago antes de 10 días hábiles; el costo de las infracciones que se han aplicado en más ocasiones en estos últimos días van desde los 403 pesos por no usar el cinturón de seguridad en el vehículo, hasta los mil 612 pesos por usar el celular mientras se maneja.
Cabe destacar que con la intención de facilitar la movilidad de los vecinos que acuden a alguna consulta médica o actividad laboral en Atizapán, no se aplica el programa Hoy No Circula de lunes a viernes, sin embargo esto no exime a los automovilistas que transitan por el municipio a que sus vehículos no cuenten con el correspondiente holograma de verificación que confirma de acuerdo a las normas ambientales, el buen estado de su unidad.
