El ex alcalde de Atizapán, Pedro Rodríguez, rindió protesta como director general de Políticas Públicas Municipales del gobierno del Estado de México, mismo que es encabezado por el priísta Eruviel Ávila.
El encargado de tomarle protesta el pasado miércoles 6 de enero, fue el Secretario General de Gobierno en la entidad, José Manzúr Quiroga, quien le solicitó absoluto trabajo y lealtad.
El cargo que desempeñará Rodríguez Villegas, de acuerdo al directorio de servidores públicos del portal del gobierno del Estado de México, era ocupado por Antonio Abraham Hamanoiel Rodríguez.
Pedro David fue alcalde de Atizapán en el periodo 2013-2015 e intentó ser candidato del Partido Acción Nacional para la diputación local 2015-2018, sin embargo, no consiguió ser elegido por los miembros del instituto político.
