Mientras el presidente municipal, Juan Hugo de la Rosa García anuncia que tras la reparación de la red hidráulica en la red principal que envía el caudal para el municipio ha sido reparado; ahora falta realizar la reparación en la infraestructura al interior del municipio.
Con el aumento del caudal se esperan varias fugas de agua en la red del municipio debido a que es un sistema de agua que tiene más de 45 años de dar el servicio a los habitantes y que esta fue creada para atender a una población no mayor a 750 mil habitantes y en la actualidad debe atender a más de un millón 200 mil ciudadanos.
Es decir atiende a una población por arriba de lo que fue planeada, atiende a más de 500 mil ciudadanos por lo cual la red ahora es insuficiente y obsoleta, lo que provoca que se registre una afectación a más de 40 mil personas durante todo el año “si se incrementan los litros por segundo puede ocasionar más daños a la red, debido a red que requiere ser cambiada en su totalidad”, afirmó.
En varios casos el problema tardará en ser reparada la afectación a consecuencia que algunos vecinos manipularon las válvulas y destruyeron parte de la red con el único fin de obtener un poco de líquido, por lo cual el personal de Organismo Descentralizado de Agua Potable, Alcantarillado y Saneamiento (ODAPAS) realizará la reparación en las fugas que se detecten.
Para realizar el cambio de la red hidráulica en el territorio municipal por lo menos se requieren de 3200 millones de pesos, recursos que está por arriba del presupuesto anual que recibe el gobierno local, por lo cual se necesita que tanto la federación como el estado apoyen a Nezahualcóyotl para garantizar el agua potable a los habitantes.
La baja en el caudal que recibe el municipio está afectando a los ciudadanos que no reciben el vital líquido en sus casas, hace dos décadas el agua llegaba hasta una altura de un piso en una vivienda y en la actualidad no llega ni a las tomas, sobre todo en las colonias Esperanza, Benito Juárez, Perla y Reforma entre otras, concluyó el munícipe.
