El gobierno de Atizapán y organizaciones sociales conformaron el Consejo Municipal de Seguridad Pública, proporcionan capacitación a los policías y les aplicaron pruebas toxicológicas, para estar a la altura de la coordinación con la Guardia Nacional.
Al encabezar los festivales por el Día del Niño, la alcaldesa de Atizapán, Ruth Olvera, indicó que la seguridad que se aplica en el municipio, protege a los menores y a la sociedad con estrategias preventivas, como el operativo Mochila y pláticas para evitar puntos de riesgo.
La alcaldesa destacó que, al cumplir más de 100 días al frente de la administración compraron 50 nuevas patrullas y 300 videocámaras de vigilancia, que garantizan la acción oportuna de la policía, por el uso de la tecnología.
Destacó la labor de la policía de proximidad, ya que en los mismos festivales por el día del niño, guiaron los caballos montados por los infantes.
Para los niños y jóvenes destacó las becas que los mantienen en las aulas, así como la seguridad transversal mediante los trabajos en escuelas, el mantenimiento del alumbrado público y las obras públicas.
En los tres grandes festivales asistieron más de 10 mil personas que fueron amenizados por reconocidos payasos como Lagrimita y Costel, Cepillín y Lapizito, Gomita y Lapizín.
