Más de mil toneladas de basura fueron las que se recolectaron durante la jornada donde 148 mil 525 participantes rompieron el Récord Guinness del mayor número de personas recogiendo basura de manera simultánea.
El gobierno municipal informó que los desechos fueron recogidos en los 302 sitios del territorio municipal que se dispusieron para la jornada; 73 de ellos considerados puntos masivos de acopio.
Carlos Cruz Ramos, director de Servicios Públicos, informó que más de 350 trabajadores de su área y de Obras Públicas, recolectaron en camiones y camionetas las bolsas y las trasladaron al vertedero de Chiconautla, lo que sumó más de mil toneladas de residuos.
El gobierno municipal afirmó que desde enero a la fecha suman ya 61 mil toneladas las que han sido recolectadas de las jornadas de limpieza de barrancas, operativos rastrillos, y limpieza de calles para mitigar las inundaciones.
