A casi un mes de los hechos violentos que marcaron la zona de Los Remedios con el hallazgo del cuerpo de una estudiante y posteriormente una encobijada, asociaciones de colonos de por lo menos doce comunidades de la localidad reiteran su exigencia de seguridad y servicios públicos.
En las inmediaciones del lugar donde se encontró el cuerpo de Jennifer, la jovencita de 13 años, que de acuerdo a versiones de los vecinos, fue atacada en el mismo lugar en donde se levantó el cadáver, se reunieron nuevamente para exigir a las autoridades no sólo seguridad, sino que concluyan la limpieza de la zona de los arcos, porque la dejaron a medias y que les otorguen el servicio de recolección de basura.
Las comunidades de San Lorenzo, Ampliación Los Arcos el Beato, Los Arcos, Lomas de Cantera, Loma Colorada, Sierra Nevada, San José de los Leones, Las Américas, Huertas Chacona y el Atorón, entre otras piden a las autoridades que resuelvan sus demandas.
Consuelo Sánchez Quintana, presidenta de la asociación de colonos de Ampliación los Arcos el Beato denunció que la zona de los Arcos de los Remedios, sigue olvidada, llena de basura y de maleza seca, sobre todo del otro lado de la calle Popocatépetl, y ahora con el problema sin resolver de la recolección de basura.
