Elementos de la Dirección de Seguridad Ciudadana de Toluca detuvieron en la colonia Valle Verde a dos sujetos conocidos como “paqueros”, quienes presuntamente están dedicados al fraude y operaban principalmente en la zona de la terminal y a las afueras de instituciones bancarias cercanas.
Los detenidos se identificaron como Martín Chávez y Miguel Velázquez, quienes fueron arrestados luego de que fueran denunciados por una mujer como los responsables de haberla defraudado con 4 mil pesos y puestos a disposición de las autoridades correspondientes.
El modus operandi de estos sujetos consistía en identificar a sus víctimas, quienes acababan de realizar alguna operación bancaria; luego los sorprendían cuando transitaban por la calle diciéndoles que se les había caído un paquete, en el que eran visibles algunos billetes con alta denominación y los presuntos defraudadores aprovechaban la sorpresa de las víctimas les proponían una cantidad a cambio del envoltorio que, se supone, contiene una fuerte cantidad de efectivo, pero el envoltorio sólo contenía recortes de papel periódico.
De acuerdo con la Dirección de Seguridad Ciudadana de Toluca, este delito pocas veces es denunciado, por lo que se invita a la población a que, en caso de haberse involucrado en alguna situación similar, de inmediato la denuncie y recomienda no establecer diálogo con desconocidos, que casi siempre operan en parejas y tienen diversos métodos, como fingir que se les cay
