Un médico que laboraba en el Hospital General de Iztapalapa fue detenido y llevado al Reclusorio Oriente por haber violado a una paciente.
El 21 de abril de 2018, Wendy “N”, de 21 años de edad, fue trasladada a la clínica 120 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), por instrucciones del doctor Agustín “N”, quien también laboraba en dicho lugar, con el fin de realizarle algunos estudios para descartar contagio de salmonella por un cuadro agudo de diarrea. Sin embargo, la mujer asegura que lo hizo con “engaños”, de acuerdo con el diario El Universal.
El expediente judicial, consultado por el reportero Kevin Ruiz, establece que el doctor salió de un consultorio, cuidó que no hubiera testigos y jaló a la mujer al interior del cuarto para violarla. Posteriormente, la víctima quedó embarazada, pero sufrió un aborto del producto debido a su delicada condición médica. Actualmente, la paciente padece insuficiencia renal terminal, y en una ocasión el médico le negó el servicio de hemodiálisis, con el fin de evitar que denunciara la agresión sexual.
La abogada de Wendy, Mirna Moreno, destacó que el exdirector del Hospital General de Iztapalapa, Benjamín Ortega Romero, no hizo nada al tener conocimiento del caso, ya que alegó que el médico acusado era el único nefrólogo que tenía en la institución.
La letrada agregó que el caso de su defendida quedó sin avances durante varios meses, hasta que logró recolectar las pruebas suficientes y así el Ministerio Público las contempló en la investigación. El jueves pasado, agentes de la Procuraduría General de Justicia de la capital detuvieron al implicado y su defensa pidió que este miércoles continúe su audiencia, con el fin de que un juez decida si queda vinculado a proceso por el delito de violación agravada.
