La Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de México (FGJEM) creó la Coordinación de Combate al Homicidio, con la intención de ampliar la cobertura y satisfacer la atención especializada en la investigación y persecución de asesinatos en territorio mexiquense.
Por medio de un acuerdo que se publicó en la Gaceta de Gobierno el viernes 9 de diciembre la disposición entró en visto el día de su suscripción y se informó que a esta nueva dependencia se adhieren las tres fiscalías especializadas de la zona.
Las Fiscalías Especializadas de Homicidio del Valle de México, Valle de Toluca y Zona Oriente fueron adscritas orgánicamente para realizar las funciones de coordinación y ejecutar operativos para atender este delito de alto impacto.
Con la Coordinación de Combate al Homicidio la fiscalía mexiquense busca integrar un grupo de trabajo multidisciplinario especializado, el cual hará la planeación estratégica y táctica para la persecución de este delito.
