El presidente López Obrador aseguró que impulsa la iniciativa de reforma eléctrica porque «yo quiero decirle a la gente que es para beneficio de los consumidores, para beneficio del pueblo, es para que no aumente el precio de la luz».
Durante su conferencia mañanera en Palacio Nacional, insistió en que es un compromiso que está cumpliendo pues ya lleva más tres años al frente del gobierno y el precio de la luz no ha aumentado. «Y no va a aumentar mientras sigamos en el gobierno», acotó.
Pero puntualizó que quiere «dejarlo resuelto hacia adelante», en el sentido de que si no se fortalece a la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), las empresas particulares, que tienen como propósito fundamental el lucro, van a abusar de los consumidores.
Añadió en que se requiere a la Comisión Federal de Electricidad y que el plan de los tecnócratas neoliberales corruptos era destruirla, al igual que a Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), para dejar todo el mercado de la electricidad y de los hidrocarburos a empresas privadas.
Dijo que su gobierno aplica una política distinta, que es fortalecer a la CFE y a Pemex porque de esa manera se fortalece la economía popular. Y refirió que el modelo neoliberal es bueno para los potentados, para las minorías, pero no para el pueblo.
Señaló que hay que definir de qué lado se está, si de fortalecer el servicio público en beneficio de los mexicanos o estamos a favor de las empresas particulares que abusan.
