El presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador manifestó que el juicio en Estados Unidos en contra de Genaro García Luna, exsecretario de Seguridad Pública en el gobierno de Felipe Calderón, y acusado de nexos con el narcotráfico, es como “pago por evento” y afirmó que “no se van a aburrir, se los aseguro”.
En conferencia de prensa matutina en el Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento, el jefe del Ejecutivo federal calificó el inicio de este juicio como “todo un suceso”, pues señaló que era un funcionario con “mucho poder”.
“Hay que esperarnos, no nos adelantemos, vamos a espera, es ver qué resulta, es que ustedes lo digo de manera respetuosa, afectuosa, cariñosa, con todo respeto pues querían que nos brincáramos etapas, que yo me metiera a otros temas, incluso relacionado con García Luna, pero si tenemos el juicio, si es como `pago por evento´, yo qué les puedo decir.
“Siéntense, no va a faltar un sillón, no va falta quien transmita lo que está pasando en el juicio y no se van aburrir, se los aseguro”, comentó.
