Luego de diversas denuncias y reportes sobre mensajes que circulan vía WhatsApp y redes sociales informando sobre actividades o sucesos delincuenciales en el Estado de México, la Policía Cibernética de la Comisión Estatal de Seguridad Ciudadana (CES), informa a la ciudadanía sobre la falsedad de la información.
Resultado del patrullaje en páginas de internet, foros de denuncia y redes sociales que realiza personal de la Policía Cibernética, fue posible detectar que en estos medios, así como aplicaciones de mensajería instantánea, están siendo compartidos diferentes mensajes con contenido engañoso e intimidatorio donde se informa y alerta a las personas sobre actividades delictivas que ocurren en municipios específicos de la entidad utilizando el nombre de alguna organización criminal para generar confusión y miedo entre la población.
El contenido de estos mensajes es falso y se caracterizan por manifestar la presencia de grupos armados en alguna zona geográfica, hablan de robo de infantes, toques de queda o vehículos sospechosos, refieren que los eventos se llevaron a cabo en lugares de mucha concurrencia como centros comerciales, entre otros. Por lo que se pide a la población hacer caso omiso y denunciar de inmediato a las autoridades.
Además, se comparten las siguientes recomendaciones: mantener la calma, no compartir la información, denunciar al 066 o 089, y si el mensaje llega de un número desconocido se deberá bloquear y denunciar.
