En el suelo terminaron las solicitudes y peticiones que hombres y mujeres indígenas de diversos poblados de Chiapas enviaron al presidente Enrique Peña Nieto.
Alrededor de las 12:00 horas de ayer, el Ejecutivo arribó a Palenque para inaugurar el Aeropuerto Internacional. Ahí, cientos de campesinos intentaron acercarse a Peña para entregarle personalmente sus peticiones. Nadie puedo hacerlo. Un elemento del Estado Mayor Presidencial (EMP) tomó las solicitudes y aseguró que se las haría llegar al presidente.
En una decena de camiones, alrededor de 600 personas de la región tzeltal-chol llegaron al lugar del evento, pero no pudieron ingresar. Se quedaron con las ganas de ver al presidente, como lo prometieron sus alcaldes.
Leonardo Rafael Guirao Aguilar, alcalde de Chilón y presidente de la Fundación Chiapas Verde, arribó a Palenque con decenas de indígenas. Cuando intentó subir el templete para ponerse al lado de Peña Nieto, los miembros del EMP lo bajaron.
El alcalde de San Juan Cancuc, Diego Velázquez López, quien la semana pasada fue detenido para indagar dos linchamientos en su municipio, tampoco pudo entrar. Le dijeron que el cupo estaba lleno: 3 mil 500 personas.
El presidente, quien llegó a Palenque con las secretarias de Turismo y Desarrollo Social, Claudia Ruiz Massieu y Rosario Robles, respectivamente, nunca recibió los documentos –firmados y sellados por las autoridades ejidales y los comisariados– que le enviaron los campesinos.
Al concluir el evento, los indígenas se dieron a la tarea de recoger, una a una, sus solicitudes del piso. Sin darles valor, el elemento del EMP que recogió los escritos y ofreció entregarlos a Peña decidió tirarlos ahí mismo.
