Dos ladrones aprovecharon el tráfico de la ciudad para encañonar a un conductor de un Mercedes Benz, a quien amenazaron y le quitaron teléfono, cartera y reloj. Sin embargo, un automovilista vio el acto y pisó el acelerador aventándolos y arrollándolos.
Los dos ladrones rodaron sobre el cofre del Mercedes y quedaron en el suelo. Uno de ellos pudo escapar y el otro lo intentó, pero no lo logró. Quedaron en el piso los objetos robados.
En el expediente CI-FMH/MH-5/UI-2C/D/00324/03-2017 de la Procuraduría de Justicia de la Ciudad de México, se informó que la persona que atracó a los maleantes fue un hombre originario de Rusia, identificado Nevelitkhi, quien se percató del asalto y decidió frustrarlo.
El asalto se registró en el cruce de las calles Vasconcelos y General León, de la colonia San Miguel Chapultepec. Nevelitkhi tocó el claxon de su auto y en cuanto la luz roja del semáforo cambió, el extranjero pisó el acelerador y lo encaminó hacia los asaltantes.
Uno de los asaltantes, Abraham Solís, recibió atención médica por parte de paramédicos para después enviarlo a la Procuraduría.
