Alejandro Gertz Manero, fiscal General de la República, confirmó que sí posee un departamento en Nueva York, Estados Unidos, sobre la Quinta Avenida con vista a Central Park, sin embargo aseguró que “no tiene nada qué ocultar”.
Luego de que Univisión publicó una investigación en donde se exhiben propiedades en Nueva York y California, el fiscal reconoció que es propietario de ambos inmuebles y aseguró que todo se encuentra declarado ante la Secretaría de la Función Pública y el Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT).
“Ese bien que usted menciona (el apartamento en NY) fue adquirido en 2012, seis años antes de que yo tuviera el cargo para el cual fui electo en el 2019’’, explicó al medio estadounidense.
Gertz Manero indicó que ha decidido mantener privada su información patrimonial para evitar “posibles extorsiones”, pues es la cabeza de la fiscalía que investiga altos delitos del fuero federal; una opción legal debido al cargo que desempeña en México.
