Luis Eduardo Gómez García, titular de Protección al Ambiente del Estado de México, informó que hasta el momento no tienen imputación alguna en contra del algún responsable del envenenamiento a 36 perros en el municipio de Xonacatlán.
El procurador señaló que una vez que se denunció el caso iniciaron un procedimiento administrativo que incluye una denuncia formal ante la Fiscalía General de Justicia del estado de México.
“El personal municipal de Ecología nos acompañó a las comunidades, a las zonas habitacionales donde se presentó el hecho para acercarnos a la población y que viera que estábamos trabajando en conjunto con el municipio para la identificación del probable responsable”, comentó.
Gómez García señaló que las sanciones que podria alcanzar la persona o personas implicadas son en materia administrativa y va desde los 85 mil pesos hasta 400 mil pesos, mientras que en materia penal se cataloga como delito mismo que podría alcanzar años de cárcel.
“En materia penal es un delito, entonces la Fiscalía General es quien tendría que aplicar el código a efecto de determinar cuál es la sanción”, refirió.
El funcionaron descartó que el Centro de Bienestar animal de Xonacatlán trabaje con anomalías.
